The Belgian has made no secret of his desire to move to Juve, and will leave Zenit club where he has been based since 2012.
The Turin giants will stand firm from a financial point of view however, with the expiration of the 27-year-old’s contract handing them an excellent bargaining chip.
If he is not sold this January, Witsel will be available to move on a free transfer this summer.
