Juventus could be about to match Ajax’s reported asking price of €75m for defender Matthijs de Ligt
According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira, Juve have offered €67m for De Ligt but Ajax are not budging on their demands of €75m up front.
However, Schira expects the Bianconeri to increase their bid ‘in the next few hours’ so they can close a deal ‘this week’.
Once a fee is agreed, the 19-year-old can proceed to undergo a medical and put pen to paper on his contract.

He is understood to have shaken hands over a five-year deal worth €9m a season plus bonuses.
