It is reported Liverpool and not Juventus are in pole position to sign Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio this summer.
Tuttosport claimed on Monday that Juve had enquired about Asensio’s availability, but Tuttomercatoweb has since countered that Liverpool are ‘in the front row’ for the Spaniard.
The 23-year-old has scored five goals and provided as many assists for Madrid this season, but the majority of his appearances have come from the bench.
