The Lazio” data-scaytid=”4″>Lazio youngster has been linked this week with attracting interest from the Italian Football Federation, as delays in paperwork to confirm his Spanish nationality have kept him from representing La Roja at any level.
On the situation, the 19-year-old Catalan-born’s representative has reflected of his client’s dismay at the situation.
“Keita is very hurt because he feels Spanish and does not understand the administrative delay,” Angelo Cascella is quoted by Spanish news agency EFE.
“He greatly regrets this and is frustrated at having not been able to defend the colours of his nation, even at youth level, despite having become a player of international level.”
Cascella is also quoted as talking about reported offers for the Lazio winger.
“Liverpool and Juventus came in and offered €20m for Keita last summer for his services, but Lazio have always responded by rejecting the proposals.”
