Juventus fans have released a statement urging everyone to avoid racist chants against Milan. “Let’s not give them anything to criticise us for.”

The famous Drughi ultras group made the appeal via their official website ahead of Sunday night’s match, particularly as the Juventus Stadium is already on a warning for previous racist insults.

“Tomorrow night against Milan we must avoid offensive or racist chants. Let’s not play their game. The ‘moaners’ at Milan are waiting for us to slip up.

“All it will take is one offensive or racist chant, or a couple of monkey noises, to get the stadium banned and steal our Scudetto party away from us.

“This is why we are asking everyone to take responsibility. We must cheer on our club colours and not give them anything to criticise us for.”

Inter’s ultras groups had released a similar statement and handed out flyers before the Milan Derby, but there were still incidents of racist chanting towards Mario Balotelli and Sulley Muntari.
