Paulo Dybala’s proposed transfer to Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly off, possibly opening the door to an exchange with Inter for Mauro Icardi.

Dybala looked to be closing in on a €75m move to Tottenham, who had spent Thursday morning talking to his representatives over personal terms and image rights.

However, BBC Sport claims the deal is now off after Juve pulled the plug, with their planned replacement Romelu Lukaku now set for Inter.

Meanwhile in Italy, Sky Sport Italia writes personal terms have been agreed after the issue of image rights had been deferred for a later date, and that the Old Lady only have to give Spurs the green light.

That is similar to the line being put out by Calciomercato.com, which stresses the Champions League finalists are hard at work to push a deal over the line.

Finally, Tuttomercatoweb concludes the 26-year-old is ‘open’ to joining Tottenham and negotiations are at ‘fever pitch’.

If BBC is to be believed, it could now see the Bianconeri focus on swapping Dybala for Icardi – a deal that would satisfy both Juve and Inter.

Whereas the English transfer window closes this evening, Italian clubs have until the end of the month to do their business.
