Sebastian Giovinco’s move to Juventus is just awaiting final confirmation, says his agent, who reveals that the transfer was decided upon a while ago.

Reports this afternoon indicate that Parma and Juve have come to an agreement over the Ducali returning the 50 per cent of the player’s contract that they own back to the Bianconeri, in return for a fee believed to be in the region of €11m.

In validating these rumours, the 25-year-old’s representative also revealed that it was the move all parties were most interested in completing. The Italian had also been linked with Inter.

“We are waiting only for the official confirmation of Giovinco’s return to Juventus,” said Andrea D’Amico on Tele Radio Stereo 92.7 on Tuesday afternoon.

“The figures in circulation are roughly close to what has been agreed. We still have a bit of caution, but from a technical viewpoint, Juventus had decided a while a go to bring Sebastian back to Turin.

“Guarantees of a starting spot in the team have not been made, but Juventus do believe in Giovinco. Sebastian is now at the Euros and this transfer will provide great cause for motivation.

“Playing in the Champions League meant that Juventus had greater economic means than other clubs. And his return completes a full circle. Giovinco is back to stay at Juventus.

“Juve is full of champions, arriving at the club, he knows that he must compete against people of the highest standard. Sebastian is ready.”
