Leandro Damiao’s agent has admitted that the striker could move to Italy in 2012 after confirming contact with Juventus.

The Internacional player, 22, has been paired with the Old Lady and numerous other clubs, including Premiership giants Arsenal.

Although the Brazilian international’s representative has admitted that nothing has been agreed, a Serie A switch is a real option.

“It’s possible that Leandro could be playing his football in Italy next year,” Vinicius Prates is quoted as saying.

“It is only normal that the big clubs are interested in Damiao. We’ve received calls from clubs all over Europe. From Real Madrid and others.

“It’s only normal for teams to get informed.”

Reports recently have claimed that Juventus are very keen after sporting director Fabio Paratici was impressed by his performances.

“Juve are a great club and it would be an honour for Leandro to play for them,” Prates continued. “I’ve met with them, but there was nothing official. It was just an informal chat.

“We are obviously interested in Juve, but I can’t speak of money as that is a club matter. It will be up to them to find an agreement.”
