Hellas Verona coach Ivan Juric has criticised the resumption of the 2019-20 season, claiming Serie A only recommenced to ‘play for money and TV rights’.
The Gialloblu coach slammed post-lockdown football after suffering a heavy 5-1 defeat to Lazio on Sunday.
“We play for money and for TV rights,” he said at a press conference. “This is not football, there are no real emotions.
“We strive to give our best and the players are doing what they can, they’re fantastic. Some of them take painkillers to play.
