Jorginho would sign a new contract at Napoli ‘straight away’ out of a desire to stay at the club ‘10 years’, according to his agent.

The Brazilian born midfielder impressed in the first six months of his Vesuviani career following a January switch from Verona and, despite difficulties encountered so far this term, remains committed to the cause.

“He wants to stay at Napoli for 10 years and has a contract for three-and-a-half years,” agent Joao Santos has told Radio Crc this week.

“If the offer of an extension was to come through now, he would sign straight away.

“He is fine, he is fully at the disposal of the Coach. Not only him, but all his teammates at Napoli has expected to perform better.

“The beginning of the season was not the best, against Athletic things went wrong. But after this and now the three wins in succession in the League, the team also wants to beat Inter.

“The World Cup has affected their start – any team would have struggled with the Basque team in the preliminaries of the Champions League.”
