Fiorentina winger Joaquin has reflected on his goal against Juventus earlier this season, admitting it was ‘historic’.

The Spanish midfielder netted in the 4-2 win over the Bianconeri, and claimed that he is slowly adjusting to life in Italy.

“My best moment so far? That has to be the goal against Juventus,” he told Marca. “That was historic.

“It really was a beautiful moment for me and for the club.

“I really like Italy. Obviously I miss Spain, but there aren’t that many differences.

“I understand the language, it’s just speaking that’s proving difficult at the moment. I’m getting there slowly though.”

He then commented on Borja Valero’s form for the Viola this term.

“I think Valero deserves a place in the national team. He just keeps playing better and better.

“Spain have a lot of strong players though.”
