The 28-year-old has revealed that he is worried about the ongoing situation but has vowed to stay optimistic.

“I’m looking forward to returning,” he told DAZN. “I confess that I’m very anxious about the complicated situation. But I’m sure that we will get out well.

“The emotion from playing again will soon return. Forza Casteddu!”

He has revealed that it’s hard to adapt to life outside the pitch but revealed he is being guided by a personal trainer.

“It’s not the best for me, all this time without playing or training,” he said. “I’m enjoying the family time, I have so much fun with my wife and children.

“I have a mini gym at home, and I have a personal trainer who has been following me for some time, so let’s say that I’m already used to keeping fit at home.”

The former Under-20 international has revealed that the situation has not reached the same levels of concern in Brazil but has warned his family back home to follow the guidelines.

“I contacted my family and friends in Brazil,” he said. “I explained to them how they should behave. I wouldn’t want my country to reach the same critical point as here in Italy.

“We are experiencing a complicated moment. It’s the same for everyone, but we must hold on.”
