Inter are hoping to use Joao Mario in an exchange of loans with either Sevilla’s Joaquin Correa or less likely Atletico Madrid man Yannick Carrasco.

It’s no secret that the Portugal international wants to move on, having struggled for playing time and put in poor performances when he was given the chance to make his mark.

As the Nerazzurri paid €40m to prise him from Sporting CP in August 2016, they are not eager to sell at a loss, so hope that a loan spell can reinvigorate his price-tag and bring in another player in exchange.

According to FCInterNews.it, the latest two candidates for a Joao Mario swap are both in Spain.

Sevilla are now coached by Vincenzo Montella, who could feasibly let Correa go to Inter for six months in exchange for Joao Mario.

Another less likely alternative would be Yannick Ferreira Carrasco of Atletico Madrid.

In both cases, there might be an option to buy included, but it would most likely be just a loan.
