“It was certainly an important decision and I am very happy to be here,” Joao Mario told Mediaset Premium.
“I hope to help the team to reach our objectives.”
It was pointed out to him that the 23-year-old is the second most expensive buy in the club’s history.
“It’s a big responsibility, but I am not thinking about it much. I just want to help the team. We will try to achieve Champions League qualification.
“Scudetto? We can dream and work to reach that target, but first have to take it one step at a time. First there is the Champions League and then if possible we’ll try to win the title.
“After the two games for Portugal, I hope to start training with Inter. If the Coach wants, I am ready.”
He has chosen shirt number 6.
