The Brazilian will now miss the rest of the season but is unhappy that neither Lazaros Christodoulopoulos, the player who caused the injury, nor the Rossoblu, have made contact with him.

“It’s already been three weeks,” Jesus wrote on social media. “Thanks to God I am feeling better every day that passes.

“But I’m not happy that I haven’t even received an apology from the player who injured me. Neither have I heard from the club for whom he plays.

“But that’s what football is like. I can’t expect that people will be like I am.

“I thank all my teammates and the fans for supporting me during this period. I will come back stronger than before.”
