The 22-year-old midfielder received an award as Best Czech Young Player of 2017.

“I’m a player who has been owned by Udinese for four years, so I’m very comfortable there,” he said at the ceremony.

“I’d also like to have another experience though, I like to get to know different countries and cultures. I’m not afraid to change.”

He returned to Udine from international duty due to an injury and spoke to Udinese TV to clarify the situation.

“I am very happy with the award, as when I was a child, it was a dream to win some individual trophy.

“A mess came out of it and I don’t know why. I was talking in the Press conference and they extrapolated a single phrase, which then got translated and twisted in the Italian media, but it’s absolutely not what I said.

“I said I was very happy at Udinese, as I am playing regularly and at the age of 22 that’s incredible. If I had wanted to run away, I would’ve done it three years ago. I don’t understand why people write certain things.

“I am certainly not someone who gives up. I am absolutely concentrated on Udinese and have always done my best for this club. I always will.”
