Piergianni Pisanu, the pitch invader that celebrated Italy’s win over Spain with the Azzurri reveals what Marco Verratti told him and hopes to get a ticket for the UEFA Euro 2020 Final.

Pisanu, 28, was born in Sardinia but has been living in London for a few years. He works as a waiter and, this past Tuesday, he managed to enter the pitch at Wembley Stadium to celebrate with the Azzurri after their win against Spain in the semifinals of EURO 2020.

He somehow managed to come close to Marco Verratti and celebrate with him for a few seconds before the stewards arrived.

Verratti embraced him, before figuring out he wasn’t either a staff member or a teammate.

“I hadn’t planned anything, I moved by instinct,” the 28-year-old told Sardiniapost.

“They spotted me after a few seconds, but it was a great emotion.

“Verratti looked at me and told me: ‘Who the f…. are you?’

“He even asked it to Barella. At that point, De Rossi intervened and joked slapping me round the head. It was great and worth every penny of the ticket. If it was for him, I would have stayed on the pitch, but the stewards treated me well.”

Pisanu spent €350 to get the tickets for the semi-final and confirms he had taken a swab test before entering Wembley Stadium.

Now, he would like to attend the Final against England on Sunday.

“It would be a dream to go to Wembley Stadium and watch the game against England. The tickets will be very expensive, but I hope I can make it.”
