The Azzurri will use the tie to experiment ahead of their World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic on June 7.

Cesare Prandelli’s Italian side will then fly to Brazil for the Confederations Cup where they will play the hosts, Mexico and Japan in the group stage.

Italy have only played San Marino once in the past, a 4-0 victory back in February 1992 while Arrigo Sacchi was in charge.

Roberto Baggio scored twice in that Cesena victory, while Roberto Donadoni and Gigi Casiraghi also netted.
