Italy have qualified for the European Under-19 Championship finals after beating Belgium 2-0 today.

The Azzurrini secured the 2-0 result in Vantaa thanks to first half goals from Fabio Miretti and Cesare Casadei.

They topped the Elite Stage group, having also drawn 2-2 with Germany and beaten Finland 5-0.

The final stage of the tournament will be held in Slovakia from June 18 to July 1, 2022.

Italy are one of the eight teams involved and five will go on to play at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia.
