Italy have a perfectly even record against Spain, winning 10 each and drawing 14, ahead of their Euro 2016 clash on Monday.

As Spain lost 2-1 to Croatia, they finished runners-up in Group D and therefore face Group E winners Italy in the Round of 16.

That game will kick off in Paris’ Stade de France on June 27 at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

It is a replay of the Euro 2012 Final, which ended 4-0 for Spain, though they did draw 1-1 in the group phase during that same competition.

Italy have scored 40 goals compared to Spain’s 16 in their 34 previous encounters.

Excluding friendlies, the Nazionale have scored only once in their last four meetings with Spain.

If we look only at competitive matches, Italy’s last victory was 2-1 in the 1994 World Cup semi-final in July 1994.

That was followed by a 0-0 draw at Euro 2008, losing on penalties, a 1-1 draw in the Euro 2012 group phase and 4-0 defeat in the Final.

They also met in the 2013 Confederations Cup, drawing 0-0 and again losing in a shoot-out.
