Napoli striker Giacomo Raspadori is expected to start on the bench against Spain tonight with Roberto Mancini picking a 3-5-2 formation.

Raspadori was expected to start in a 4-3-3 line-up alongside Nicolò Zaniolo and Ciro Immobile. However, according to Sky Sport Italia, the Partenopei forward will initially go on the bench and be replaced by defender Leonardo Bonucci.

This means Italy will play with a 3-5-2 formation that sees Bonucci join Francesco Acerbi and Rafael Toloi in a three-man defence.

The rest of the starting line-up is confirmed with Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Leonardo Spinazzola on the wings, Jorginho, Nicolò Barella and Marco Verratti in central midfield.

Italy’s probable XI vs. Spain: Donnarumma; Toloi, Bonucci, Acerbi; Di Lorenzo, Barella, Jorginho, Verratti, Spinazzola; Zaniolo, Immobile

  1. Prefer that but worry about lack of pace in the back line. Would also prefer if raspadori started ahead of immobile.
