Italy have returned to the top 10 of FIFA's rankings, but Antonio Conte narrowly missed out on a €500,000 bonus.

The Coach that led the Azzurri to a Euro 2016 quarter-final was due to receive a substantial cash bonus if, by the end of his tenure, Italy had risen by five positions in the standings.

The Nazionale was 14th when Conte picked them up, and in the new FIFA rankings, it went up to 10th. Conte missed his bonus by a mere 0.44 points, the margin by which Brazil holds ninth place.
