Italy will later today fly out to Manaus ahead of final preparations for their opening World Cup fixture against England.

The Azzurri are scheduled to depart their training base at Mangaratiba on a 2.30pm UK time flight and due to arrive at the Hotel Quality Inn in Manaus at 7pm UK time.

At 9.30pm England Coach Roy Hodgson will address the media, expected to be sat alongside a player, before the Three Lions train on the Arena da Amazonia stadium pitch, with the first 15 minutes open to the Press.

Then, at 7.30 local time, 1.30am UK time, Italy will take to the pitch for a similar workout, where again the first 15 minutes will be open to the media, before just over an hour later Cesare Prandelli will hold his pre-match Press conference, expected alongside one player.

After that, the Azzurri will return to the team hotel, ahead of Saturday evening’s opening Group D match, which will kick off at the Arena da Amazonia at 11pm UK time.

The Netherlands’ Bjorn Kuipers will officiate proceedings on a pitch that has endured a lot of scrutiny in the build-up for its condition.
