Antonio Conte’s Italy have climbed two places in the latest FIFA World Rankings, sitting just outside the top 10 in 11th place.

The Azzurri have been victorious in every fixture played under Conte so far, and wins over Malta and Azerbaijan this month have seen the Nazionale leapfrog Switzerland and Chile.

Italy were ranked ninth in the world heading into this summer’s World Cup, but a disastrous showing in Brazil saw the Azzurri slump to a four-year low ranking of 14th in July.

Meanwhile, Germany hold top spot in the world for this month, whilst Argentina and Colombia stay second and third respectively, and Belgium move into fourth ahead of the Netherlands.

Wins over Croatia and Albania next month could see the Azzurri end the year amongst the top 10 teams in the world.
