Federico Chiesa has left the Italy training camp due to an injury, while Alessandro Florenzi is also in doubt to face Finland with a calf problem.
The Euro 2020 qualifying campaign kicks off on Saturday against Finland, with Liechtenstein next Tuesday.
Chiesa had tried to shake off the recurring muscular issue that had already forced him out of Fiorentina’s Serie A match against Lazio.
However, today he gave up and was sent back to Florence for treatment.

There was more bad news for Italy Coach Roberto Mancini, as Roma full-back Florenzi pulled up during today’s training session with a left calf issue.
He too is considered to be at risk for the Finland opener and had been due to start.
Already missing Lorenzo Insigne, Mancini now has to reshuffle his Azzurri XI.
