Italy are back today for a second week of training at Coverciano, ahead of a first World Cup warm-up fixture with the Republic of Ireland.

The Azzurri began their summer tournament preparations at the Italian Football Federation’s headquarters last week, with three days of training before breaking on Thursday afternoon for a period of rest.

The Azzurri began their summer tournament preparations at the Italian Football Federation’s headquarters last week, with three days of training before breaking on Thursday afternoon for a period of rest.

On from reporting back in on Sunday evening, Cesare Prandelli’s 30-man provisional squad, and back-up goalkeeper Antonio Mirante, will resume training on Monday morning.

Up to and including Thursday the group will be put through morning and afternoon workouts, with Press conferences in between, before a Friday morning session is followed by the team’s flight out to London.

Italy will be in London on Saturday May 31 to play the Republic of Ireland at Craven Cottage in their first warm-up game ahead of the World Cup.
