Italy will be in Pot 2 of League A for the UEFA Nations League 2020-21 draw, to be held on March 3 in Amsterdam.
This is the second edition of the tournament and last year the Nazionale finished second in their group behind eventual winners Portugal.
Roberto Mancini’s men are in Pot 2 along with Belgium, France and Spain.
It means they could be paired with Portugal again, or other top seeds the Netherlands, England or Switzerland.
League A has been expanded this year from 12 to 16 countries, divided into four groups of four teams.
