Spezia coach Vincenzo Italiano believes Roma ‘will be out for revenge’ as the newly promoted Serie A side prepare to face the Giallorossi after eliminating them from the Coppa Italia.

“Roma will be out for revenge and we must prepare the game well and try to extend the winning streak,” Italiano said at a press conference on Friday.

Spezia have two wins and one draw in the last three Serie A games and eliminated Roma from the Coppa Italia last 16 earlier this week.

“This is the right mentality, but we can’t lower our guard,” Italiano warned.

“Many players will come back from injuries: Ricci, Acampora, Bastoni and Verde.

“We are aware Saponara can be an important player for us, but we must help him improve his fitness and give him playing time in every game.”
