The visitors did well to stop Atalanta from creating any big chances in the first 45 minutes, but the Orobici ran away with the game when they grabbed the lead through Mario Pasalic, before Luis Muriel scored the second of the match only two minutes later.

Pasalic added the third and Roberto Piccoli’s consolation goal was not enough to make Italiano content after the 3-1 defeat in Bergamo.

“We are starting to do something I don’t like,” Italiano told Sky Sport Italia after the final whistle.

“We play 45 minutes well and then less for the rest of the match.

“We can’t be satisfied with setting an excellent lap time, so it’s dangerous, we have to fix this aspect.”
