Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano is aware ‘errors make the difference’ in Finals and urges his players to focus on themselves rather than West Ham.

The Viola are preparing for the Conference League Final against the Hammers in Prague on June 7. Italiano spoke to Sky Sport Italia on Thursday during a media day organised by UEFA at the Stadio Franchi.

“We’ve had a great season, and we deserved the chance to play for this trophy, we are aware of our strength but we know that every error makes the difference in a Final,” said Italiano.

“Every detail matters and we want to give joy to our fans.”

When asked his thoughts about West Ham, Italiano replied: “They haven’t done well in the league, but they have a very competitive team with top-class players and a competent coach. We must focus on ourselves and be free in our minds.”

The Tuscans will face Sassuolo in the last Serie A game of the season on Friday night. The Viola have been waiting for their first major trophy since 2001 when they won the Italian Supercup and the Coppa Italia.

They lost the Coppa Italia Final to Inter on May 24 at the Stadio Olimpico.
