Simone Inzaghi admitted Inter are feeling the pressure ‘daily’ and highlighted why Udinese cannot be underestimated ahead of their clash this evening.

Juventus’ 1-0 win over Napoli on Friday means they’ve leapfrogged Inzaghi’s side in the Serie A table by a point, putting the pressure on the Nerazzurri to pick up another win in order to regain their spot on the summit.

Inter had two very different meetings with Udinese last season, suffering a painful 3-1 loss at the Dacia Arena but cruising to a 3-1 win in San Siro. The Bianconeri have only picked up one win this season, so Inzaghi’s side have reasons to be confident.

Speaking to Sky Sports Italia via FcInterNews, Inzaghi first discussed Inter’s preparations for the match and the qualities of Udinese.

“The guys prepared for it well. We did three to four days of excellent work, we know the strength of Udinese, who should not be underestimated. They don’t have a great position in the table, but they are a valuable team, who have created some problems for us every year.”

He touched on how he’s navigating the team’s slight injury crisis, doing without various regulars like Stefan de Vrij, Denzel Dumfries and Benjamin Pavard.

“We are having difficulty in rotations, I will ask the players for some overtime, knowing that whoever takes over will give maximum guarantees. We have many close commitments, there have been some injuries, but that’s how it is.”

Finally, Inzaghi was asked if Inter are feeling the pressure in the title race.

“The pressure is daily, even in training. But nothing changes, for years we have been used to playing Juventus sooner or later. We are both doing well, the season is very long and there will still be a lot to give.”
