Lazio opened the new season with an emphatic 3-0 win at Sampdoria on Sunday, and Inzaghi declared top four was an objective for the Aquile.

“After the Supercoppa and Coppa Italia, we must now finish in the top four, even though it will be tough,” the Coach said after the game.

“We must remain calm and not make it an obsession, although it’s true that we want to improve.

“We’re just at the beginning of the season. We’ve started well and there’s a derby on Sunday.

“We know what it’s worth, it’s a unique game and we know how much our fans will get behind us.

“I was calm because I saw the team on the ball. Audero was very good, he made two great saves.

“There’s always little talk of Lazio and I’m used to it, but we’ve shown year-in-year-out that that we read play well.

“There are teams much more talked about than us, although it changes little for me if people don’t say much about Lazio.

“We did very well tonight, playing on a pitch that isn’t simple with so much character. We scored three goals, but we could’ve scored even more.

“Milinkovic-Savic worked very well during preseason before his injury. I played him, but I don’t want to talk about individuals.

“Everyone did a lot: from Luis Alberto to Parolo.”
