The Aquile fell out of the top four after some disappointing recent results, as fatigue seems to be catching up with the Europa League quarter-finalists.

“I think we deserved the victory. There was that incident after three minutes, we tried everything and had 21 shots on goal, but only put one in the net,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“I am not worried, it’s only natural we want to be in the top four and will do everything to stay there. We have many fixtures, this was the last in a long run and now we’ll have some rest over the break for international duty.”

Inzaghi made a double substitution at half-time, introducing Jordan Lukaku and Bastos for Luis Nani and Wallace.

“Wallace was already booked, I had to take off a striker to change the system and it happened to be Nani. In the second half we were always dangerous and never seemed to allow chances at the back.

Bologna clammed up and defended deep, so we should’ve had more quality in the final ball. Unfortunately, we had to do without Stefan Radu, Senad Lulic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who are three very important figures.

“We gave it all we had, there was some tiredness, and since January 21 we have been playing every three days. Now we’ll have some time to train, work on our fitness and rest a little.”
