The Gazzetta dello Sport understand that Coach Andrea Stramaccioni has requested a right-sided attacker for his team, with Arjen Robben identified as the ideal candidate.

However, the Dutchman has recently signed a new deal with Bayern Munich and is on a wage that is disproportionate to others handed out by Inter this summer.

Subsequently, Inter are said to be staying in Germany for their search, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Andre Schurrle their reported target.

The 21-year-old can play as a winger and a forward, whilst the Nerazzurri are understood to have already opened a line of inquiry on the German, having previously spoken to his owners in January about a possible move.

Inter have also been linked with Fabio Quagliarella, Giampaolo Pazzini, Alejandro Gomez and Gaston Ramirez this summer.
