But the deal has hit a snag with Internacional admitting that their own target Nilmar, is not likely to leave the Middle East.
“If Al-Rayyan are able to hold on to Nilmar,” sporting director Cesar Luis Souto de Moura told Radio Guaiba.
“Then we will do the same with Damiao.”
