Enrico Sposato, one of the intermediaries for Nottingham Forest midfielder Orel Mangala confirms the 25-year-old wants to join Napoli in the January transfer window.

Mangala has been linked with several Serie A clubs in the January transfer window, but Napoli have already made contact with the player’s agents to sound out his availability.

Enrico Sposato, one of the intermediaries involved in the deal, has confirmed the Partenopei’s interest, revealing that the Belgium international is open to moving to the Stadio Maradona this month.

“The January transfer window is affected by the economic situation of clubs, but Napoli are doing a lot,” Sposato told Radio CRC on Monday, as quoted by Calciomercato.com.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli have made an offer to sign the 25-year-old on loan with an obligation to buy tied to the midfielder’s playing time in the second part of the season.

“Mangala could do well; he has a great desire to come to Italy and, in the right condition, he can give vital support to Napoli, who already have many talented players,” continued the intermediary.

“Napoli’s attempt is real and there’s a chance to find a solution. The lad appreciates Italy and Napoli and nows many players at the club.

“For example, Traoré is close to Orel who is a Belgium national team player. Napoli already had Dries Mertens so they know the personality of Belgians. The lad must not be convinced because he knows Naples and there are all the conditions to get the deal done. At the moment, all it’s stalled, but anything can happen anytime.

“He is happy for Cyril Ngonge who has made a step forward in his career. The social media comment means a lot, more than it seems. I am in Rome now, when there are ideal conditions for everyone, the deal will be unlocked. Surely the lad wants to come to Italy.”

Mangala had commented on a Ngonge Instagram post last week when the Belgian striker confirmed his move to Napoli.

The Partenopei are currently outside a European placement in Serie A but can win their first trophy tonight in a Supercoppa Final against Inter.

Napoli have already signed three players in January: Pasquale Mazzocchi from Salernitana, Hamed Traoré on loan from Bournemouth and Ngonge from Hellas Verona.
