Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti slams the people who vandalised the club’s mural, saying they are “really not football fans”.

An image of 11 images from the Nerazzurri’s history was painted on Via Barbieri, with its official unveiling today.

However, on Wednesday night the wall was vandalised with red paint and offensive slogans about the Beneamata.

“It remains a beautiful piece of work,” Zanetti told Premium Sport as he attended the unveiling.

“This was a vandalism by people who really aren’t football fans. It remains a beautiful mural, within which lies the DNA of Inter, which is the most important thing.

“And history can never be stained.”
