According to reports in Italy, Inter met Gleison Bremer’s agent last week, but the club deny interest in River Plate defender Fabrizio Angileri.

Argentinean media had linked the Nerazzurri with the 28-year-old who sees his contract expire at the end of the season. Club sources quoted by Tuttosport deny the Serie A giants are considering a move for the left-back.

Inter set sights on free agent Angileri

However, the Nerazzurri are planning to bring in reinforcements at the back and Torino defender Gleison Bremer is probably their main target for 2022-23. According to Calciomercato.com, the Nerazzurri met the defender’s agent last week.

The Brazilian is one of Serie A’s best performers this season and the Nerazzurri are long time admirers. He’s seen as the perfect replacement for Stefan de Vrij who is expected to leave the club in the summer with just one year left in his contract.

The Serie A champions are eager to wrap up a deal for the 25-year-old as they are aware of the interest of many other clubs in Italy and Europe. For this reason, they could try to finalise a deal with Torino before selling De Vrij in the summer.
