Inter are targeting Sergio Floccari but might have left it too late, with the Lazio forward already promised to Bologna.

Having let Giampaolo Pazzini and Diego Forlan leave and after sending youngster Samuele Longo on loan to Espanyol yesterday, the Nerazzurri are on the hunt for a striker who can act as back up to Diego Milito.

Negotiations were reportedly held with Genoa regarding Alberto Gilardino, but talks collapsed when Rossoblu president Enrico Preziosi insisted he would only trade Gila for Ricky Alvarez or Philippe Coutinho.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport Inter have now turned their attention to Floccari, who scored eight goals last season on loan at Parma and is not in the plans of Coach Vladimir Petkovic at parent club Lazio.

However the Serpenti aren’t the only side following the former Messina man. Yesterday it was reported that Bologna had found agreement on a €4.5m deal to take the 30-year-old off Lazio's hands.

That transfer hasn't went through yet though, with the Felsinei apparently holding off until Gaston Ramirez's departure is finalised.

The three clubs have until Friday at 1900 to come to an agreement.
