Luc Castaignos is reportedly set for a return to Dutch football this week, with Inter set to receive €7m for his sale.

The youngster joined the Nerazzurri last term from Feyenoord, but struggled to assert himself in the senior side. At the end of the season, the 19-year-old confirmed that he would be leaving the club and expected it to be in the form of a permanent transfer.

Linked with a number of outfits subsequently, Dutch media believe that the forward will be returning to the Eredivisie, with a deal with Twente reportedly on the verge of being completed within days.

Algemeen Dagblad report that the player’s preference for Twente over other interested party Sporting CP was key to the deal’s progression.

Inter will reportedly receive €7m for the youngster, who scored once from six League appearances last term, marking a €4m profit on the amount they paid for him a year ago.
