Inter coach Simone Inzaghi received good news from training today as three key stars returned to the fold following recent physical issues.

The Nerazzurri are gearing up for their 27th Serie A match of the season, a game that’ll likely take them one step closer to the Scudetto. Inzaghi’s side currently hold a 12-point lead over second place Juventus and now look unlikely to loosen their grip on the league title.

In the meantime, Inter are also looking to complete some unfinished business in the Champions League, wanting to go one step further following last season’s second-place finish. They hold a 1-0 lead over Atletico Madrid ahead of their second leg in the Champions League Round of 16.

As reported by TMW, Marcus Thuram, Francesco Acerbi and Davide Frattesi all returned to squad training at Appiano Gentile today, joining their Inter teammates for the preparations ahead of the Monday evening clash with Genoa.

Whilst none of the three are expected to start at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, they could come off the bench to start building up their match fitness.

Hakan Calhanoglu will have to wait a little longer after suffering from an adductor issue and he’s aiming to come back against Bologna on March 9th.
