Lille defender Tiago Djalo has informed his agents that he’d be open to joining Juventus after initially waiting for a move from Inter, reports detail.

The 23-year-old centre back has not featured on the pitch since early March after suffering a cruciate ligament injury and is set to leave the French club in the coming months, having entered the last six months of his contract.

Inter have long been fans of Djalo and had been planning to snap him up on a free transfer in the summer, but Juventus have now emerged and are willing to pay a small fee to secure his services six months earlier.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Djalo has now given his entourage the green light to start negotiations with Juventus, having initially given priority to Inter following their first approach.

The Old Lady are willing to offer around €3m plus add-ons for the 23-year-old Portuguese centre back, and the Nerazzurri could return with a counter-offer in the coming days to compete with their rivals.

Juventus are looking to fund the deal with the sale of Filippo Ranocchia – currently on loan at Empoli – to Serie B side Palermo.
