The Nerazzurri have been linked with the midfielder at several points this summer, but Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge “100 per cent” guaranteed he’d stay.

Despite that, this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport states that the Beneamata are still pushing for the Chilean international, as he’s indicated to his entourage that he’d be interested in the move.

Inter are therefore hoping that the Bavarian club will soften their stance, and are willing to offer €50m for Vidal’s signature.

The player himself will be offered a salary of €7.5m per season, and he’s very much at the top of the shortlist.

Alternatives would have different characteristics to Vidal, and include Arda Turan of Barcelona and Manchester United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
