The Nerazzurri are looking for a replacement after Leonardo opted to join Paris Saint-Germain as their new director general.

“We will give the announcement at the right moment. There is no tension, worry or confusion,” assured Paolillo on the official club website.

“We are calm in approaching important decisions that will be taken soon. We are professional and therefore won't name names now, so we'll let others do that and be very careful not to follow suit.”

Sinisa Mihajlovic pledged his future to Fiorentina with a statement last night, so the options remain Porto's Andre Villas-Boas, ex-Palermo Coach Delio Rossi, England manager Fabio Capello or former Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini.

“Asking me if it'll be a foreign or an Italian Coach is like asking if he'll be tall or blond. I know the job of journalists, but if we want to achieve the best results, we have to keep quiet,” continued Paolillo.

He was then asked whether Leonardo's sudden decision to quit had caught them unprepared.

“A club like Inter is never unprepared, as it always has plans in place, even if they are obviously not made public. We have a relaxed rapport between Inter and Leonardo, just as we evaluated the situation calmly.

“If we had a set date to announce the new Coach then we would've done it already. For obvious reasons, the decision will be announced soon.”
