This summer they face a similar dilemma, with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that they need to raise €40-50m by June 30.
It may be more difficult to do deals with youngsters next summer, the newspaper reports, as they may not be able to raise the funds with the players on the books.
Therefore it’s possible that they could sell one of their stars to make the €50m in one fell swoop.
If UEFA then agree to lift FFP restrictions, the Beneamata could spend more freely to replace him, while still being mindful of the need to break even.
