Inter made contact with Genoa on Tuesday in an effort to re-sign Mattia Destro, says the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 21-year-old has caught the eye this season after scoring 12 goals in 30 League games for Siena, the club who co-own him with the Rossoblu.

Destro is expected to move on to bigger things this summer and Inter, who sold him to the Grifone as part of the deal to net Andrea Ranocchia in January 2011, want him back.

The Gazzetta claims that Inter are ready to offer the Rossoblu their half share in Marassi midfielder Juraj Kucka, as well as the loan of Primavera striker Samuele Longo and cash.

However, there is a difference of opinion when it comes to the valuation of the player picked in Italy’s preliminary 32-man squad for Euro 2012.

Genoa rate forward Destro at around €20m, but Inter think he’s worth closer to €15m. Siena will also have to have their say.
