Inter are reportedly in negotiations with former Wolfsburg Coach Felix Magath to replace Andrea Stramaccioni.

The club has repeatedly stated Stramaccioni’s future will only be decided at the end of the season, as failure to qualify for Europe could see him sacked.

Several alternatives have been mentioned for the job, including France boss Laurent Blanc and Napoli’s Walter Mazzarri.

According to Il Sussidiario, the new name on President Massimo Moratti’s wish-list is Magath.

The 59-year-old German tactician has worked on the benches of sides like Werder Bremen, VfB Stuttgart, Bayern Munich, Schalke 04 and most recent VfL Wolfsburg.

He was sacked by Wolfsburg in October 2012 and has been without a club since. It is reported his focus on fitness training is what Inter are looking for after a season beset by injury problems and poor form.
