Inter have announced that the squad will enter a training camp until Saturday’s Sampdoria game.

The Nerazzurri are in crisis, having fallen from first to fifth in the Serie A table in the space of just seven games, and refused to speak to the media after the defeat to Fiorentina on Sunday.

It’s common practice in Italy for a struggling team to head into ‘ritiro’, where the players stay at the training ground during the week in order to foster team spirit, as well as punish the team for poor performances.

“Inter will begin their pre-match retreat tomorrow ahead of Saturday's game.” the Beneamata’s official Twitter account confirmed.

That means the team will be confined to the training ground until after the match, though it's not clear whether a defeat would see the training camp extended.
