Inter are reportedly in pole position for Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa, thanks to the arrival of Giuseppe Marotta.

The forward is one of the hottest prospects in Italian football, and is also attracting interest from Juventus and Napoli.

According to today’s Tuttosport though, the arrival of Marotta at San Siro, though not officially confirmed yet, has moved the Nerazzurri into pole position.

The former Juve CEO has a good relationship with Viola director general Pantaleo Corvino, and it’s negotiating for Chiesa.

Marotta wanted to bring the Italian international to Turin, but will now be competing with protege Fabio Paratici.

The newspaper claims there is a gentleman’s agreement between the pair that Inter won’t move for Juventus players, unless they’re on the transfer list, but any other target is fair game.
