Inter could not go beyond a 0-0 draw with Galatasaray, but there was a scare when Luca Castellazzi was stretchered off with a head injury.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s men flew out to Bochum in Germany for a friendly test against Fatih Terim’s Turkish outfit.

There was an immediate scare after just five minutes when Castellazzi collided with Colin and suffered a nasty head injury.

He was stretchered off after several minutes to stabilise him and replaced by Pierluigi Orlandoni. Considering Emiliano Viviano snapped the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on Saturday and will be out for six months, it’s possible Julio Cesar will have to return early from his post-Copa America vacation.

The friendly continued with chances for Wesley Sneijder in his new central midfield position, then Luc Castaignos set up an opportunity that Samuel Eto’o thumped against the upright.

Castaignos also impressed with a header that forced a desperate save out of Aykut.

Galatasaray stepped up the pressure after the break with Sabri and Ujfalusi going close, while Arda nodded inches wide from a corner.

It ended goalless and Inter’s next test will be against Manchester City in Dublin on July 31.
